Tips for preparing a cocktail with soda
There are so many varieties of soft drinks with different characteristics, each one that helps reduce or increase the acidity, bitterness, sweetness or aroma of a prepared drink. In this way, a carbonated soft drink increases the acidity, intensifies the flavor and elevates the aroma of a cocktail. Carbonated soft drinks in cocktails are used to prepare long drinks or medium-sized drinks and are usually served in low whiskey-type glasses (we recommend our article on cocktail glassware). To prepare these drinks, you must take into account 4 rules:
- Never put carbonated soda in a shaker
- Make sure that the soft drink does not exceed 40% of the total drink
- If it is a carbonated soft drink, add this ingredient last
- Stir the drink a little with a spoon to integrate the ingredients
